Biography
Ken Moelis is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Moelis & Company, a global investment bank that provides financial advisory, capital raising and asset management services to a broad client base including corporations, institutions and governments. With over 580 employees across 11 offices globally, the firm has advised on over $600 billion of transactions and has $4.1 billion of total asset management capital.

Prior to UBS, Mr. Moelis was Head of Corporate Finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette from 1996 through 2000. He was previously Co-Head of the firm’s Los Angeles office from 1990 through 1996 and began his investment banking career in 1981 at Drexel Burnham Lambert.
 
Mr. Moelis was recently named to the 50 Most Influential list by Bloomberg Markets. He is a member of the Board of the Tourette Syndrome Association, the Wharton Board of Overseers and the Board of Governors of Cedars Sinai Hospital. He holds an undergraduate degree and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is married to Julie Taffet and is the father of three sons and a daughter.
