The Wharton Club of Hong Kong (WCHK), along with Insead Alumni Association of Hong Kong (IAAHK) have over the last couple of years conducted multiple all day workshops which have been very popular with our alumni.

Based on strong and persistent request from many alumni participants of previous workshops, WCHK and IAAHK are delighted to launch a FOUR MONTH-EXTENSIVE COURSE on ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) & MACHINE LEARNING (ML), spanning  FOUR MODULES with Four Full-Day instructor lead Classes and self study via industry standard MOOCS

  • Module 1: AI for Everyone 
  • Module 2: Generative AI for Decision Makers 
  • Module 3: Machine Learning for Everyone 
  • Module 4: AI Readiness Evaluation & Practical Transformation 

Due to pre-existing Alumni Demand, We Expect This Course to Sell-out very Fast, So Register ASAP as Capacity is Limited.

Price: HKD 6,000 per alumni (non-refundable) for complete course covering all four modules, in-person classes and lunch.

Guests: Guests of Alumni are welcome at the same price of HKD 6,000 (non-refundable) but preference will be given to alumni

Please Note: To ensure quality cohort learning experience, Registration is for the complete course and not for specific modules. The MOOCs are free of cost to take (audit) but in case one wants a certificate, the MOOCs have a charge. 

If you cannot attend any of the classes of the module, recordings will be available for the in-person classes missed.

  • Balanced Course mix of STEM (35%) and Business (65%) to give participants the quantitative understanding as well as the business application of AI & ML. Please Note: While no pre-knowledge of AI or ML is required to attend, the course is designed based on alumni preference to be rigorous, requiring commitment to learn.

INSTRUCTOR PROFILE: 

Kevin Pereira W'06 is currently a Managing Director at Blu Artificial Intelligence, a consulting firm that specializes in Artificial Intelligence. After growing up in Hong Kong, he started his career in Private Banking with Citi in New York. He then moved back to Hong Kong and joined Bank of New York Mellon’s Asset Management business, where he helped to start a new group that specialized in products tailored to High Net Worth Individuals. After obtaining his MBA, Kevin worked at a technology startup in Myanmar that was building internet infrastructure which included fiber optic, cell towers and data centers. Kevin is also a Part-time lecturer at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he teaches an MBA course titled,“Artificial Intelligence for Business Leaders”. At the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), he teaches “Big Data in Finance” and “AI in Marketing” to MBAs and other Masters’ students. Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics with concentrations in Finance, Management and Marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also has an MBA from INSEAD.

Fabrice Fischer is the Founder and CEO at Blu Artificial Intelligence. Fabrice has spent over 25 years in Financial Services and IT in Asia, Europe, and North America. Over his six years as CFO of Sentient Technologies, he oversaw a period rapid growth, which has led to the company being one of the world’s best funded AI outfits. He was also instrumental in the launch of Sentient Investment Management, Sentient’s hedge fund anchored on artificial intelligence, to continually evolve and optimize its investment strategies. Fabrice’s career highlights also include starting a HK-based IT-services company in infrastructure and ERP for the Asset Management industry. Later, he joined Bain & Co. as a Consultant advising companies in the Private Equity, IT, and Telecom industries across Europe and afterwards continued as an independent advisor to Banks and Asset Managers. He was the CFO and COO of Bryan Garnier, a European boutique Investment Bank, whose activities included Corporate Finance, Brokerage, Asset Management and Private Banking. In this role, he oversaw the equity analysis team and the asset management activities of the bank. Fabrice was also a Visiting Lecturer at University of Hong Kong (HKU) where he taught an MBA class titled “Artificial Intelligence for Business Leaders”. He is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology teaching “Big Data in Finance” and “Portfolio Management with FinTech applications” to their MBAs and Masters students. He also teaches "AI Fundamentals and Challenges for Business Leaders" & “Design Thinking” at École de Technologie Supérieure in Montreal, Canada. Fabrice completed a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Montreal and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Rajendra (Raj) Shroff is the Director of Applied AI Research at Blu Artificial Intelligence. Raj leads the firm’s applied AI research activities, focusing on both cutting-edge and enterprise AI solutions. His work centers on executive education, organizing to deploy AI at scale, prioritizing AI projects, and implementing a coherent AI strategy. Raj is a public speaker for AI, emerging tech, and the future of work. He teaches full-credit university courses covering these subjects for EMBA, Masters, and Undergrad students. He also conducts seminars for professional associations. Raj previously worked at AXA, an insurance multinational, across project management and finance functions. He holds a BSc in Management from the London School of Economics and an MBA from The University of Hong Kong.
