As summer approaches, are you picturing a vacation with clear ocean waters and white sand beaches? But what if the beach is littered with trash and the water is polluted with plastic bags, straws and bottles? Join us for an educational afternoon with Plastic Free Seas to clean up Cheung Sha Lan Beach, near Discovery Bay, and to learn more about plastic marine pollution locally and globally. This is also a perfect opportunity for both adults and kids to learn about solutions to adopt in daily life to reduce their plastic footprint.
We will meet at Central Pier No. 3 at 2:15pm to catch the 2:30pm ferry from Central to Discovery Bay. Please wear sturdy, closed toe shoes, and weather appropriate clothing. Also, bring plenty of water in a reusable bottle. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Plastic Free Seas to cover our beach cleanup costs (including insurance and equipment) as well as to support their education programs in Hong Kong's local and international schools.
