Mr. Shan Weijian is the Chairman and CEO of private equity firm, PAG. Before PAG, he served as TPG Capital’s senior partner for China and J.P. Morgan’s China chief representative and as an assistant professor at Wharton. He has served on the boards of companies including Baosteel, Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Lenovo. Shan is the author of "Out of the Gobi: My Story of China and America" launched earlier this year. Attendees will be able to purchase signed copies of the book. Shan has an extraordinary life experience including working as a laborer for 6 years in the remote Gobi Desert during the Cultural Revolution. He holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco and a PhD from the University of California Berkeley. Shan will make a presentation of his experiences and answer questions.
