Friday, March 15, 2019To continue with the momentum of the Alumni Live event series which was kick started in 2019 with the topic on digital marketing, we are pleased to launch our second Alumni Live on investment strategy in technology with Forest Lin, WG'03 from Tencent Investment.
Forest is the Managing Partner of Tencent Investment, in charge of Tencent’s domestic and international equity investments. Mr. Lin has rich experience in e-commerce, internet finance, O2O, media and content areas, solidifying Tencent’s endeavor in building a healthy ecosystem. Prior to joining Tencent, Mr. Lin held various senior positions in finance, strategy, and operating management at Microsoft and Nokia. Forest Lin holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Zhejiang University and a MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
As you are aware, Alumni Live is an initiative launched last year by the Wharton Club of Hong Kong, with a key objective of fostering deeper connect among alumni with interest in a specific domain and also allow our alumni of all vintage to interact with our senior and accomplished alumni in a particular industry.
By design and on purpose, Alumni Live sessions are designed for a small group setting. The maximum capacity of this event is 16 including the speakers, hence there are only 15 spots open on the table. So grab one ASAP before it sells out.

Number of participants: 1 speaker and 15 participants
Price: HKD 500 (non-refundable), Chinese set lunch (veg option available with prior notification)
Dress Code: Business casual
Guests: Guests of our alumni, including guests of young alumni are welcomed at the price of HKD 500 (non-refundable), preference will be given to alumni first.

About Alumni Live!
Each of the Alumni Live! events will have a specific topic. It will be organized as a small group lunch / dinner (12-15 people) with 2-3 alumni (or outside guests) specialized in that topic to share their insight and experience while other audience can pose questions and exchange thoughts in a dynamic set up. These topics could be those common talking points among our smaller group chat in many of our gatherings but just lack of a proper venue for us to focus on and carry forward. Again, this is a smaller scale forum targeted to encourage closed and dynamic flow of ideas and experience sharing across generations. Content in each of the Alumni Live! event would mainly be driven by the participant group. Any one of us would be more than welcome to suggest topics and volunteer in the event.
