The Wharton Club of Hong Kong (WCHK) is delighted to announce that the Honourable Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary, The Government of HKSAR will address Club members and guests over lunch on April 23rd at the Hong Kong Club. Paul Cheng, Wharton Club of HK founding member and Governor, will host the event

The Financial Secretary will comment on the future role of Hong Kong as the financial hub of China, a fin-tech centre, and a leader in the greater Bay Area

We expect this event to be a full-house and request all to register ASAP to avoid any disappointment. Please be also reminded that WCHK has a no walk-ins allowed policy.

Time: 12:15 - 2:00 PM, Please note that Financial Secretary will arrive at 12:30 PM and we request all to reach before that

Venue: The Hong Kong Club, 1 Jackson Road, Central, Hong Kong

Price: HKD 400 (non-refundable), including lunch

Young Alumni Discount: HKD 360 (non-refundable) for all Penn / Wharton alumni who have graduated on or after 2013

Dress Code: Business attire

Guests: WCHK welcomes guests of our alumni, including guests of young alumni at the price of HKD 400 (non-refundable)

About the Speaker

Chan Mo-po, Paul, GBM, GBS, MH, JP

Mr Chan is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a former Chairman of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Hong Kong.

Before joining the Government, Mr Chan held a number of public service positions including member of the Legislative Council; Chairman of Legal Aid Services Council; Board Member of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority; non-official member of the Strategic Development Commission and Council Member of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Mr Chan served as Secretary for Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government from July 2012 to January 2017. He was appointed Financial Secretary on 16 January, 2017.
