The Wharton Club of Hong Kong is delighted to announce the re-launch of our very popular Wharton Speaker Series (which was in abeyance due to the pandemic), albeit with a smaller audience size than usual, due to the prevailing social distancing norms.
We have Xing Liu WG'04, Partner of Sequoia Capital China as our speaker on the topic "Venture Capital Industry and Investment Themes in China".

Venue: The Hong Kong Club, Harcourt Suite
Price: HKD 800 (including Dinner)
Young Alumni Discount: HKD 700 (including Dinner), only for alumni who have graduated 2017 or later
Participants: ALUMNI ONLY, NO GUESTS ALLOWED (our apologies due to Covid related capacity restrictions, we are keeping it as an Alumni Only event, should you have very pressing need to bring a guest, please email us for exceptions)
Covid Protocols: All participants need to follow all applicable social distancing norms that The Hong Kong Club would impose as per the prevailing Social Distancing norms of the Govt of HK-SAR on the day of the event, including but not limited to: using the Leave Home Safe App, No fever or symptoms, No contact with Covid Suspect, Haven't travelled outside HK in last 14 days, Haven't been in close touch with anyone who has traveled outside HK in last 14 days.

About the Speaker:
Xing Liu, WG'04
Xing Liu, Partner of Sequoia Capital China. He focuses on investments in TMT and consumer sectors. Mr. Liu has led or participated in Sequoia's investments in Vipshop, JD.com, Alibaba, ZTO Express, Ke Holdings, Xpeng, Winner/PurCotton, Dingdong, Tuhu, Ziroom, SSENSE, Urban Revivo, Klook, Fiture and a number of other TMT and consumer companies. Prior to joining Sequoia in 2007, Mr. Liu had nine years of working experience at Merrill Lynch (Asia), Xerox and a Silicon Valley enterprise software start-up company in investment banking, technology R&D, software development management and strategic consulting functions. Mr. Liu received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering and Telecommunication and Network Management from Syracuse University and B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Fudan University.
