As the investment industry gathers in Hong Kong for SuperReturn, the Wharton Club of Hong Kong and the Wharton PE & VC Alumni Association are hosting an alumni event featuring an experienced panel of speakers who will discuss the history, trends, and opportunities shaping Asia’s private credit landscape.

Private credit has attracted a lot of attention in recent years. Asia-Pacific private credit is considered a fast-growing yet still emerging asset class, although it remains relatively small compared to the U.S. and Europe. Our panelists—with deep expertise spanning Southeast Asia, China, and Australia—will share insights from both the GP and LP perspectives.

Join us to learn how this asset class has evolved through different economic cycles in Asia Pacific and where future opportunities may lie. Enjoy a networking reception with wine and canapés alongside your fellow alumni before and after the program.

The featured speakers include:

  • Ming Eng (WG'09) – Partner, Granite Asia
  • Ming-Hau Lee (WG'09) – Partner, Ares Management
  • Hanli Mangun (W'01, SEAS'01) – Partner, Indies Capital Partners
  • Wei Han Cheng (W'10, C'10) – Principal, OMERS

The discussion will be moderated by Power Siu (WG'15) – Head of Greater China Business, OCP Asia.
